How ITT Foundation was born?

In April 2017, we made a trip to see the project on site. Once in Gambia, apart from visiting Sare Bigi school, which was already functioning, we visited another school, Manduar, which had stopped receiving financial support from a Turkish NGO for a year, teachers were not paid and food for the children was far from sufficient. 

ITT pledged to help ensure that the two schools with over 250 children had enough teachers and food for all the children. 

Some time has passed, much progress has been made and many actions have been carried out which you can see on our ITT FOUNDATION website. All of them has an incalculable human value. But the time of dedication of small NGO people was limited and this did not allow us to start many other projects we had in mind nor to do them as we had initially thought. 

From ITT, we wanted to move forward and make sure we were doing things right, we thought the only way to get on the right track was with more dedication, having someone in Gambia who is 100% dedicated. We discussed it with Eva and Roberto, they understood it was the right thing to do and they were willing to devote themselves full time to the project. 

We studied the way to do so, and, seeing both economic and organizational needs, the answer it came to our minds was to create a foundation.

In September 2019, Eva and Roberto, will go to live in Gambia with all the support of ITT and many other friends convinced that together we will start all projects we are excited about. 

Do not hesitate to follow and support us in any way possible, we will be totally active and working with great enthusiasm. 

We remain convinced that the best way to improve our world is through education.
